SUSTAINABLE SEAFOOD
In its dedication to protecting marine environments and preserving their habitats, Crystal Cruises has committed to serving only sustainable seafood aboard its award-winning vessels. Renowned for the sophisticated fare served in the Crystal Dining Room and specialty restaurants Silk Road and The Sushi Bar and Prego, Crystal is the first cruise line to publicly commit to such a policy. Since 1990, Crystal has served only fresh seafood – never frozen – and live lobster on board, and with this new commitment, will offer guests a variety of sea fare raised and harvested in a sustainable manner, protecting species for future generations.
YOU CARE, WE CARE – PRESERVING AND GIVING BACK
As the trend toward voluntourism continues and luxury travelers increasingly seek adventures that are also enriching and rewarding, Crystal Cruises announces You Care, We Care, a new program designed to allow guests to contribute to the destinations they visit, while Crystal helps preserve the world’s historically significant sites.
You Care – On every 2011 itinerary, one complimentary Crystal Adventure shore excursion will enable guests and crew to donate their time and participate in a local charitable project, with Crystal paying for all transportation and logistics, and
We Care – For every World Heritage Site visited on 2011 Crystal Adventures, Crystal will donate a portion of the excursions’ fare to the preservation of each site.
